Principals
Mike Cazabon, Chairman PE, CPSA, CPEA
Mike Cazabon has over 40 years of Process Safety experience with FM Global and Dow Corning. He is knowledgeable in Process Hazard Analysis, Mechanical Integrity, Dust Hazards, Incident/Root Cause Investigation, Fire Protection, Fired Equipment Safety, Explosion Modeling and PSM auditing. Mike received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.
Les Cunningham, CSP, CPSA, CCPSC
Les Cunningham has over 40 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, project engineering, process engineering, including being a corporate PSM director. He has extensive knowledge in Process Safety, PHAs, audits, thermal hazard and dust testing, combustible dust hazard assessments. Les holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from NJIT and an MBA from Rutgers.
Dan DeVine
Dan DeVine has over 35 years of experience in the chemical industry with Dow Chemical and Union Carbide. He has been involved in the engineering design of valves, piping, and pressure vessels, while applying ASME and API Standards and Codes. He has a successful history of mentoring engineers, and he is recognized as an industry expert in low-emission valve technology. Dan holds a B. S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Iowa, and he is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Wayne Fort
Wayne Fort has over 35 year of chemical engineering experience in plant improvement leadership, project management, and process safety. Wayne was the Process Safety Leader for a large integrated complex including 20 PSM regulated plants (SI Group) and many years in process safety and as an improvement manager with the Dow Chemical Co. An experienced facilitator of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) with training in Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and functional safety (SIL calculations). He is a CCPS certified process safety professional and a TUV Rheinland certified functional safety engineer. Wayne holds a BSChE from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MSChE from Purdue University.
John Kreinbrink
John Kreinbrink has over 40 years of experience with manufacturing operations, process development, process automation, and process safety. This includes 30 years with the Dow Chemical Company and 5 years with OxyChem. Areas of extensive experience include sour gas processing, ion exchange, agglomeration, relief design, evaporation, reservoir simulation, process simulation, and heat exchanger design. He holds a B.S. in Chem Eng. from Ohio State University. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and a registered PE in Michigan and Ohio.
Tim Mullowney
Tim Mullowney has 40 years of experience in energy, petrochemical, and including roles in upstream production and plant construction for Exxon, Amoco, Arco. During a 25-year career with Phillips 66 his responsibilities included refinery operations, maintenance/reliability, and global roles as Process Safety Director/Principal Process Safety Consultant. Mr. Mullowney is knowledgeable in all aspects of Process Safety implementation, PHA & LOPA facilitation, incident investigation, auditing, and training/instruction.
Edward Saunders, President
Edward Saunders has over 40 years of experience that includes superintendent of specialty and commodity chemical plants and project management. He is a specialist in instrumentation, process control, process safety, and process improvement. Ed has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.B.A.
William Sturdevant
William Sturdevant has over 35 years of experience in the chemical industry specializing in burner management and safety instrumentation systems. Bill has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and is a registered PE in Texas.
David Thaman
Over 40 years in chemical process management, including 13 years as global process safety manager for PPG Industries, responsible for program deployment and developing site and regional practitioners in risk management. Ohio State BSChE, Northwestern MBA.
Shelley Wickman, CHMM, Certified ISO14001/45001/RC14001 Lead Auditor
Shelley Wickman has 25+years of EHS&S MS experience and 20+ years of regulatory and MS auditing experience. She spent 15+ years as lead auditor for an international registrar and has led large audit teams, completing ISO 14001 and 18001/45001, RC 14001, RCMS, RSB, SEMS and API 1173, CORE Safety certification audits/assessments in the oil and gas, chemical, mining/milling, and manufacturing industries all over the world. Shelley holds a BS in Environmental Science.
Lowell Youngquist
Lowell Youngquist has over 40 years of manufacturing operations, process automation, capital project, and process safety experience in specialty chemical plants with over 30 years with the Dow Chemical Company. He holds a B.S. in Chem Eng. from Cornell University and a M.S.E. in Water Resources Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a trained PHA Facilitator, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Project Management Professional (PMP).
