Responsible Care®, EHS Compliance Auditing
Midland Engineering, Ltd. (MEL) established a formal audit function in 2004. In its drive to be in the top tier of EHS professional auditing firms, an MEL principle with nearly 20 years of experience participating in the EHS Auditing Roundtable (AR) and developing a world class audit program for a top tier chemical company was used to design and establish the function and program. MEL's audit program manual is used to guide all aspects of auditing such as structure, ethics, program guides and procedures, and quality assessment and improvement. MEL has been approved by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) as an RCMS® audit service provider. For this approval process ANAB conducts office audits annually and on-site witness audits once every three years.
